As a Parish Council we are at times required to direct enquiries to other authorities or organisations. We are pleased to provide this signposting service. You may find the following useful:
Cumberland Council
Cumberland Council is the local authority for Cumberland, our local government district. Created in 2023, it is a unitary authority - a district council which also performs the functions of a county council. As such, it has responsibility for highways; bins and refuse collections; street cleaning; licences, permits and registration and many more essential services. For more information, visit the Cumberland Council website at www.cumberland.gov.uk
Northern Fells Group
The Northern Fells Group is a community charity based in North Cumbria serving seven parishes, including Ireby & Uldale Parish.
The aims of the Northern Fells Group are:
- To combat rural social isolation and exclusion
- To alleviate deprivation
- To improve access to services
- To enable people to remain independent, living in their own homes and in the area
The Group has developed a wide range of services and activities to meet these aims. For more information, visit the Northern Fells Group website at northernfellsgroup.org.uk.
