Bus service variation Service Number 39 Ireby - Wigton

We have received the following information from Infrastructure Planning and Transport at Cumberland Council:

Effective from 20th February 2026

Ireby - Fletchertown - Blencogo - Wigton
Service operates on Friday only. No service on bank holidays or public holidays.

Start at Ireby Globe Hall [Start of Hail & Ride]. Head North through Boltongate to the A595 [End of Hail & Ride]. Turn right onto the A595 and then left onto the B5299 to Fletchertown [Start of Hail & Ride]. Continue through Mealsgate and Fletchertown to Ellenvale Coaches Depot, and continue through to the A596 [End of Hail & Ride]. Turn left onto the A596 and immediately turn right onto unnamed road at Leegate Crossroads [Start of Hail & Ride]. Continue to Blencogo and to B5302. Turn right onto the B5302 through Waverbridge then turn left along Station Hill to the A596 [End of Hail & Ride]. Turn left onto the A596 and then right onto Station Road. Turn left onto King Street. End of service.

Return journey as outbound in reverse. Service operates beyond Fletchertown on request of passengers already onboard the bus.
